I've been fortunate to work in tech and academia for close to 10 years

I'm one of the lucky few who found what I wanted to do early in life. Coding, computers and video games have always been a part of my childhood and early teens, and that environment shaped my passion and deep appreciation for computer science and software engineering.

I've never looked back since.

I started a now successful 6-figure tech company building software, at the age of 15 with my father while still in high school.

I won my first regional hackathon at 19 building an e-commerce platform for selling traditional bags and worked with Google for 6 months.

At 21, I lectured 4th-year computer science students at the University of Papua New Guinea for their final semester (13 full weeks).

Nowadays, you'll find me working across a few key engagements

Consulting on technology projects & developing apps and critical information systems

For large corporates, donor agencies / international organisations, and government departments.

I will be uploading a portfolio of some of these projects along with case studies on the website soon, so stay tuned.

Running several tech startups founded out of developing internet-based SaaS products

As part of a growing portfolio of "pet projects" I work on during my spare time. Some of these are operated as separate businesses.

For open source projects I'm currently working on, I'll be compiling a list of them and have the documentation available on the website for developers who are interested to help contribute to the codebase and maintain in the long run.

Community outreach and advocacy work across STEM & education and personal development

All of which I deliver either through in-person talks at events across the region, or through my YouTube Channel and Newsletter.

I plan to better use the website to provide updates on the various community outreach and advocacy programs I'll be a part of going forward. I do believe more visibility is required in this space, so I'll certainly be putting in the effort to ensure this happens.

Fun Facts About Me

  • I hold the record at my former local high school for memorizing 400 digits of the PI constant in one afternoon, and was given the infamous title of "The PI Girl" by the principle.
  • I'm a nerd and introvert at heart (as unbelievable as that may sound, it's true), so you'll find me at home either coding, reading, playing video games or contemplating existential questions about life and reality.
  • I used to live in a settlement with no running water, limited electricity, and no money to my name. Life has interesting ways to teach you about the importance of hard work and humility, and what it takes to succeed in life.
  • I jam at home with my father playing acoustic covers from the beatles to the eagles, and anything else in between that interests us - but I'm terrible at singing (well, at least for now).
  • I love coffee and prefer making it at home with freshly grounded coffee beans using my trusty kogan espresso maker. I've also become pretty good at making latte art, and those who've tried my home-made cappuccinos have said, they're the best they've tasted anywhere.
